Lavender - Lavandula X intermedia 'Grosso'
A highly sought-after hybrid English Lavender with long, elegant stems; violet flowers and evergreen, silvery-grey foliage. A beautiful and aromatic scent.
Flowering time: June-August.
Up to 1m in height and spread, taller than other English varieties.
Great for informal hedging or in a contemporary, Mediterranean border.
Adored by bees, butterflies, moths and beneficial insects. Also provides seeds for birds.

Plant in a sunny spot, in well-drained, slightly alkaline soil.
Drought-tolerant once established.
Water well, but sparingly (overwatering can cause root rot).
Mulch in colder climates.
Trim in spring to remove any damaged or dead growth. After the flowers have faded, trim the flower stalks to maintain the plant’s shape.
