A creeping, evergreen, hardy thyme with small, dark olive-green leaves and lavender pink flowers, opening from red buds. Very aromatic.

This thyme looks wonderful creeping across a rock garden.

Flowers early-mid summer.

Height 15cm/Spread 35cm.

Loved by bees and other pollinators.

Drought resistant.

Thyme (creeping) 'Doone Valley'

  • Grow Doone Valley in full sun, in very well-drained neutral to alkaline soil.
    (Best in Loam / Sand / Clay soils). Avoid wet conditions.

    Cut back hard after flowing to retain a neat compact shape.
    Lift and divide large clumps in early spring.
